GEA Clarifair is a virtual smoking booth with one hundred percent smoke capture. In the common area near the unit, practically complete air cleansing is ensured; the smoke from up to twelve smoking persons can be eliminated by the three-stage filter system with integrated electrostatic filter GEA Piccotron. Air is also sucked in from outside which benefits the neighbouring areas. Despite its high efficiency, the unit operates extremely quietly. Activation of the GEA Clarifair when required ensures lower energy consumption; however, even in continuous operation the unit is not an electricity hog, with its power consumption of 0.45 kW (in the standard version without accessories).

Various models
GEA Clarifair offers various models. The standing model, for instance, can be equipped with a standing table – if desired, with integrated ashtrays. The unit can run in continuous operation or be switched on with a motion detector. Further model options can be selected and integrated illumination as well as loud speakers are available as accessories. Also the installation of multimedia facilities such as monitor screens is possible.

GEA Clarifair is suitable in new buildings for floor installation or ceiling mounting and can naturally also be employed in upgrades. It can be simply implemented in buildings with climate and ventilating systems, without conflicting with such systems, for instance in hotels and office buildings. Furthermore it is even possible to integrate the units in an existing ventilation system. In this case, the air can be drawn in and the smoke routed directly into an exhaust air channel system so that GEA Clarifair can function without filter technology.
